Workshop - Sinusoidal Functions - Project
Precalculus - In Class Exercises - For Use in Class October 30th |
Construct the following model using heavy construction paper or cardboard:
The Circle should be divided into at least 8 parts and mounted at
the center
on a squared background with ruled lines as indicated in inches
or centimeters
(the more ruled horizontal lines there are the better the use of
the model).
This model will be used to study Sine and Cosine Functions and Seasonal
or Periodic Models
The circle should be able to rotate about
the center on the ruled square background.
(To enhance the model: label the outer
edge of the circle counterclockwise
with markings on the cardboard background
from 0 to 360 degrees using a protractor
starting at the Sin
t position, e.g. 0, 30, 45, 60, 90, 180, 270
degrees)
A model will be shown in Class; October 25th.
